This program allows UMD undergraduate students to immerse themselves in a research environment during the Spring or Fall semester in an IREAP laboratory.
- Typical activities include initiation to theoretical and/or experimental research
- Interns will perform paid research for 4 hours/week, during 10 weeks
- Applicants should have completed their Freshman year as of Fall 2023
- A minimum 3.0 GPA @UMD as of Fall 2023 is required to apply
- A UMD email address (@umd.edu or @terpmail.umd.edu) is required to apply
- Students who have already participated in the program are ineligible to apply
- Deadline to apply for the Spring 2024 cycle is Thursday, February 15, 2024
