Prospective graduate students must apply and be admitted by a department (MSE, Physics, Chemistry, ECE, etc.) at the University of Maryland. You may email Prof. Rabin after you have applied to Graduate School at the University of Maryland to inform him of your interest in joining the research group. The subject line should include your status (Prospective, Admitted, Enrolled) in the enrollment process. Your interest in joining the laboratory does not influence the admission outcome. Prospective graduate students ordinarily will meet with Professor Rabin and the laboratory members and visit the laboratory before a decision is made.
Postdoctoral Fellows - 1 Position Available
The Materials and Interface Nanotechnology Laboratory is seeking a talented postdoctoral research fellow. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Chemistry, or an Engineering field from a prestigious United States university (if foreign, the candidate must be able to attend an interview at Maryland). The candidate's Ph.D. work should focus on solid state physics and electrical/thermal characterization of materials. Priority will be given to candidates with experience with vacuum systems (CVD and PLD reactors). To submit an application email Prof. Rabin and include the line "MINT Postdoc, your name, institution" in the subject line. Unfortunately, due to heavy email volumes, Dr. Rabin will be able to respond only to a small fraction of the applicants.
