Wolfgang Losert is an Associate Professor in IREAP with joint appointments with the Department of Physics and the Institute for Physical Science and Technology. He received a Diplom in technical physics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany in 1995 and a Ph.D. at the City College of New York in February 1998, working with Herman Cummins on the dynamics of pattern formation in crystal growth of binary alloys.

Dr. Losert's main research interests are systems biology, integrated mechanical and biochemical signals in cell motility, and granular flows.
