Kevin L. Jensen received the B. S. degree in applied physics from Columbia University, New York, in 1981, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from New York University, New York, in 1984 and 1987, respectively. In 1987, he joined the Naval Research Laboratory and continues his work there in the Vacuum Electronics Branch of the Electronics Science and Technology Division (ESTD).

Dr. Jensen's research interests are in field, thermionic, and photo-emission, quantum transport, and electron device physics particularly as they apply to rf vacuum electronics and space-based applicaitons. He is a member of the IEEE, the American Physical Society, the New York Academy of Sciences, the Materials Research Society, and the Electrochemical Society.
